October 2026 — Amiens, France
Glyx Therapeutics has an exclusive license agreement with SATT Nord (Société d’Accélération du Transfert de Technologies Nord), signed on April 21, 2026, covering the European patent family EP21306658 / WO2023094699 and the associated know-how. On October 13, 2026, the agreement was officially celebrated with the directors of the universities concerned, the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) and the Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), in the presence of the press.
A technology born in academic research
The patent, entitled “Inhibitors of abnormal phosphorylation and aggregation of the Tau protein”, protects anionic lipidic oligosaccharides, sugar-derived molecules designed to act on the Tau protein involved in Alzheimer’s disease and other tauopathies. It results from research carried out at the Laboratory of Glycochemistry and Agroresources of Amiens (LG2A, UPJV/CNRS) and the Gly-CRRET laboratory (UPEC), and was matured with the support of SATT Nord, which invested in the project.
Glyx Therapeutics in the media
This milestone coincides with regional media coverage of Glyx’s work:
- ICI Picardie (radio, October 14, 2026): a report by Clément Viron on the research carried out in Amiens on neurodegenerative diseases.
- France 3 Hauts-de-France (October 15, 2026): an article on a start-up working on the early mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease.
- Le Courrier picard (October 8, 2026): an article on a start-up from Amiens opening a new therapeutic avenue against Alzheimer’s disease.
We thank SATT Nord for its support in the maturation of this technology, the UPJV, the CNRS and the UPEC for their trust, the journalists for raising awareness of tauopathies and early-stage Alzheimer’s research, and our regional supporters Eurasanté, innov’a and Bpifrance.
